Clear Creek Church has a rich history as a strong, loving church body with a passion to reach out locally and globally. We have a dynamic worship service with a blended approach to musical worship.
Position:
The Worship Leader is a part-time position (10-12 hours per week). This person is crucial in helping
our church family connect with God and with one another. Some ways they will accomplish this is through:
1. Participatory activities such as music, prayer, art, and personal and corporate responses.
2. Engaging the congregation as they lead, and, on occasion, educating them through new music and forms of worship.
Qualifications:
1. A close, personal, growing relationship with the Lord.
2. A heart to help our church family connect with, glorify, and honor the Lord as they worship together.
3. Experience organizing, overseeing, and leading weekly and special worship services.
4. A desire to shepherd, equip, and train others in developing their musical and artistic abilities.
5. Have a working knowledge of a breadth of music (Hymns, Contemporary, Original).
6. A flexible team player willing to work with and support the overall vision and direction of the church.
Responsibilities:
1. Help shepherd those involved on the Music and Creative Arts Team in their spiritual life and development, often being their first point of contact.
2. Lead and facilitate worship through music, prayer, response, etc. at least three Sundays each month.
3. Coordinate and communicate with those involved in the Sunday morning worship experience.
4. Craft the order of worship for the Sunday experience, as well as any special services, in conjunction with the Minister of Operations, speaker, and others involved in the service.
5. Recruit musicians for Sunday services and facilitate rehearsal(s) to prepare for leading in musical worship.
6. Communicate and brainstorm with the creative arts team the elements in a regular Sunday service as well as for special services like Easter, Christmas, Worship nights, Art clinics, and others.
7. Recruit, develop, and mentor musicians/artists including developing other worship leaders from the team.
8. Regularly attend Clear Creek services and, as able, church events.
9. Oversee the Worship and Arts budget, maintaining worship and music supplies, and provide CCLI reports.
Compensation:
This is a salaried position for leading our Sunday morning worship service at least three times a month and occasionally special services. The amount will be commensurate with experience and the agreed upon number of hours worked each week.
