The Contemporary Worship Leader is responsible for preparing and leading the contemporary worship experience at Cross of Glory Church. He/She will lead, rehearse, recruit and shepherd a volunteer team of musicians and vocalists. This position reports to the Senior Pastor.
HOURS: 20 hrs./week
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
• Passionate follower of Jesus - clear testimony of conversion
• Demonstrates humility and teachable spirit
• Committed to spiritual growth and a God-centered Biblical view of worship
• Gifted in a mix of some or all of the following: leadership, organization, administration, creativity, communication, shepherding
EXPERIENCE
• At least 2 years worship leading experience
• Experience in people management and team leadership
EDUCATION
• Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred
GIFTS AND ABILITIES
• Passion to lead people in worship; strong worship-leading skils
• Vocally and instrumentally gifted and proficient
• Eye for detail: organized and efficient with administrative tasks
• Ability to work as a team player but also independently motivated
• Competent to recruit, lead, develop and shepherd teams of volunteer musicians
• Ability to utilize the giftedness of others and encourage creativity
• Proficient with Propresenter and Planning Center Online
• Experience with Ableton a plus
